Shai's Streak Bets Collapse on NBA Reality

Markets price down extended scoring streak bets as Shai's record run faces natural limits.

Markets are cutting odds on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's extended 20-point streak, with 195+ consecutive games plunging 27¢ to just 2¢. Shai broke Wilt Chamberlain's 63-year record by scoring 20+ points in 127 straight games in March, but traders recognize the mathematical improbability of extreme extensions. The 175+ and 185+ game markets also dropped 20¢ each. Even for All-Star players, the odds of reaching 126+ consecutive games are roughly 1 in 3.2 quintillion—traders are pricing in that this historic run will eventually end.
